4/04 - Our Kite House!: Well, we bought a screen
house tent at Sam's Club. It's 18' x 18' x 102" when built,
and comes with it's own rugged suitcase for when it's packed down
(32" L x 13.5" H x 12" D). Unlike some of the canopy
shelters we've seen, this one will fit into my trunk and will allow
me to still have a full car of passengers. Anyway, it was about
$99. Since my hubby doesn't fly much, this will be the place I can
safely leave him while I fly all day long!
Feel free to stop by and say hi!! |

6/04 - Our Kite Tent!: For
smaller kite flying fields, shorter outtings, and when privacy may
be needed for changing clothes, this tent comes in real handy! The
Areodome (that's how they spell it!) by ABOGear was on sale for
$24.99 at TJMaxx, but normally sells for about $50. It's 8 feet
wide and 5 feet tall, has a door and flaps to cover the windows/venting,
and sets up amazingly fast. It also breaks down fast and small. |

1/06 - Silly Shirt: I couldn't resist. I still
count my only learned (mostly) tricks as landing and launching on
command. But hopefully, one day, I'll learn a real trick with some
funky name like "faded pankcake yo-yo-ing jackpot spin toss sliding
fade"! Until then, keep staring... because I've got a lot of
practicing to do! (Well, since I do this for everything else... why
break tradition? Wal-Mart $7.83, size is a secret.) |

1/06 - Peter Lynn Backstrap: I have discovered
that I really enjoy flying stacks. The only problem is that my wrists
wear out of stamina before I'm ready to stop flying! So, I purchased
this backstrap to help distribute the load of the pull that a stack
can generate. The picture doesn't do this monster justice. It's about
7.5" wide, and that webbing is serious strapping!. I purchased
this from a GWTW Forum member. |
