We had a last family vacation. Of course, they had not told my brother and I that they were getting a divorce. But, we knew. This picture was taken in a historic courtroom in Vicksburg, MS. My parents thought it would be interesting to have my brother take this picture while I played the judge. What was the case they were arguing? Divorce, of course.

In New Orleans they had a portrait of my brother and me done in Jackson Square. We knew something was wrong when it was just us in the picture and not all four. We were the only things staying together. Here, Joe, and Selah pose for the artist. My mom stands in the background.

Here Blu sits with the birds in Jackson Square, and JeniPeni sits on the curb. The differences appear so subtle. But they are different people inside of us.

To be perfectly honest, we don't always know who is in what picture. This picture for instance confuses us. No one can recall who was there for it. So, this could be someone that many of us don't even know inside.

Here Jynnifer sips a non-aloholic pina colada. That night was full of fighting. By the time we got back to the hotel room, Kirhar was out to deal with the high stress.

This was what we looked like by the time we left the restaurant. This is one of those caught in the glimpse of truth pictures. I think this adequately shows what we were really feeling at the time instead of a staged "happy family everyone smile and say cheese" photograph.
